Valrico, of all places, to get Whole Foods Market!

Valrico - Major news as SE Hillsborough’s first Whole Foods Market has submitted construction plans to occupy BOTH The Fresh Market AND Stein Mart locations in the Lithia Crossing plaza!

Rumors are great (when they’re right), but seeing plans in writing was what I was waiting for…and it sure did not take very long after The Fresh Market closed for Whole Foods to submit renovation plans…which makes me think this has been in the works for a LONG time…

So much to digest…and think about…

- How long has Amazon eyed the old Fresh Market location?

- Was THIS the reason the old Stein Mart stayed vacant going on 4 years now (except for the annual Halloween store every Oct)?

- Was Amazon paying for Stein Mart to stay vacant just waiting for The Fresh Market lease to expire?

- Was Amazon waiting for more info on the Lithia Pinecrest widening project before pulling the trigger on this?

- When will the traffic light be installed between Publix and the new Whole Foods on Lithia Pinecrest? and was Amazon waiting for this to happen?

HUGE news for our little Varlcio area IMO!…It speaks volumes about our communities median values when vendors like Whole Foods target this specific area for a new location…
