Residential Housing - Energy Park - April 23 6 - 7:30pm

Dover - Never a dull moment in Dover(?) as yet a 2nd Comprehensive Plan Amendment (24-06) has been announced for the Energy Industrial Park in Dover on the south side of SR 60 between Dover Rd and Turkey Creek Rd…

With approximately 475.95 acres in the portion southwest of the railroad tracks, if the text amendment is approved, this area could accommodate up to 1,903 dwelling units.

On April 23rd from 6pm-7:30PM a meeting will be held at Mulrennan Middle school to discuss plans…

Land south of the Railroad will be R-4 (Residential 4 per acre) and in order to remain consistent with the Goals of the Energy Park will integrate Solar Energy into the project…maybe somethig akin to a mini-Babcock Ranch

So with these 2 CPA’s, the Energy Industrial Park wants to:

1) lease/sell some land to raise $$$ in hopes of attracting investors, but not produce any renewable energy in the “Energy Park” at this time (CPA 23-15)

2) build residential homes powered by Solar Energy that is not yet present at this time (CPA 24-06)
